I just wanted to let you know that a guy by the name of “KG971″ is creating programs with your “X360.dll” and charging people to use them. He tries to hide it by changed the name of the KV from “KV.bin” to “UFC2010.bin” and placing it in a folder. I have compared the KV that comes with Le Fluffie to his UFC2010.bin and they are a perfect match. Top line = Artist & bottom line = track name.
Nothing fancy – no times or scrolling etc, just straight text.

Gotta say, in my dealings with you, you certainly don’t act like someone who should expect professional treatment. Which is fine and all (I don’t always act in a professional manner either), but you shouldn’t act like a self-important know-it-all 19-year-old with an overinflated sense of entitlement and then demand professionalism from furries. It is i used to use it alot but i got my account reset, the credit limit is 120000 cr a day online so if you reach the limit to often they get suspicious and may get reset. if you get reset to many time i would imagine that you could get a permiban on reach maby even account banned :/

I realize that you’re likely to delete this post and flip out about it, and you’re well within your right to do so, but here’s how I’d write a function to get the GMT offset in seconds: http://pastebin.com/YtXLc50e

Some explanation is in order: With OS X’s libc and glibc, “struct tm” includes an offset field. Unfortunately that’s not portable (the two libcs name the damn field differently, and the presence of the field is a nonstandard extension). So, I convert the current time twice, saving the “struct tm”s returned by localtime and gmtime (since they overwrite each other’s buffer space), and then use difftime, which is designed for this very purpose.

All of these are standard functions in the C runtime, so I’d say they’re pretty portable. Your function, while it might work, doesn’t feel very elegant; it does lots of noisy computations for which there already exist functions. Reinventing the wheel is not a winning plan.

If you want to use the Win32 library for this, take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms725481(v=VS.85).aspx — I try to avoid the Win32 API and stick to standard libc functions, though.

I really want to know what you think about this code, even if it’s negative commentary! I’m available on AIM, IRC, Twitter, and various other messengers, and I love talking about code and programming, because I learn things from other people by talking about them. I might also even go to Bellfurs sometime if you’ll be there. We can do code review together or something. More eyes on code = fewer bugs.
